Following hours of a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari with security chiefs at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, on Monday, February 12, no one from the meeting responded to questions from state house correspondents on its proceedings.
The meeting was a high-profile one with heads of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Fire Service, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Prisons Service and Nigeria Security and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in attendance.

Although the agenda for the meeting was not disclosed, Daily Sun gathered that it was supposed to revolve around current security situations in the country.
The meeting had in attendance Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha, Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, minister of interior Abdulrahman Dambazau, the minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and the national security adviser, Babagana Monguno (rtd)
Others in attendance were director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, Director of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar, and Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris.

The meeting, as Daily Sun reports, was also attended by chief of defence staff, Gabriel Olonisakin, chief of army staff, Tukur Buratai, chief of naval staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, and chief of air staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported that
President Muhammadu Buhari and the nation’s service chiefs were in a meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja.
NAIJ.com learnt that though details of the meeting had not been disclosed, it may be connected with the attacks by suspected herdsmen in parts of the country, especially the north-central states.
Attendees of this meeting which was held on Monday, February 12, were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the corps marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the comptroller general of Immigrations.
